I have a new Galaxy Appeal go phone and cannot download photos from text messages. I don't know what the problem is. I do not have a data plan, but shouldn't need one since I have unlimited MMS messaging included in my rate plan. To protect myself from unwanted charges, I keep the wireless turned off. Is there something I have to activate to get this to work?

Also, every time I turn on my phone, I get annoying adds asking me to download apps. I have to be careful to click the right thing or it begins downloading over the cellular. Any advice on how to get rid of those?
