Re: How do I renew my GoPhone service for another month?

I am new to AT&T GoPhone service. Almost a month ago I set up my smartphone with the $25 Monthly Plan + $25 1GB Data Package.
Based on my experience so far, I want to drop down to the $5 50MB Data Package (until I use up most of the initial 1GB).
I am wondering how do I renew my service for another month. Here are my key concerns:
1) I need to add $30 to my Account balance for the Plan + Data.
It looks like the only way to get $30 into my account is to load two $15 refills (or three $10 refills). Is there a way to just tell AT&T I want to add $30 in one payment?
2) I need to renew the $25 Monthly Plan.
Is it true that I don't need to do any more than make sure there is enough credit in my Account balance? That the Monthly Plan automatically renews every 30 days?
3) I need to select the $5 50MB Data Package.
It looks like I can
a) Go to MyPrepaidRefill.com, Add Money/Features, select Data Packages and select the $5 50MB Data Package. … OR ...
b) Go to PayGonline.com, log in, select Buy Feature Packages, and select the $5 50MB Data Package
Are these the correct ways to switch from the $25 1GB Data Package to the $5 50MB?
So how do I get a full additional 30 days to use my data? If I renew on the 31st day of my current data package, I don't get rollover of the remaining data balance, and if I renew on the 30th day, I loose the last day of my current package AND the Data Package will expire one day before the Monthly Plan.
Is there a way to just gracefully move to the 50MB Data Package when this months 1GB Package expires?
Do I understand all this correctly? Am I missing something?
I have more questions but I have to stop here before this gets any longer.

Move to 50MB data package at least day before the 1GB package expires. Make sure you have more than $30 in your account to renew the $25 month plan and $5 data package. I did the same thing with the 1GB package the first month, then went the 50MB plan the next month, my data plan renews 2 days before my voice plan each month. Wish they had a $30 a month automatic renewal plan, but need to use what they have, just make sure to renew each month so you don't lose data rollover.
