Is here really no one, who could tell me, what to do to get a Prepiad AT&T Card to get 3-5 GB 4G Data Package for my own iPad 4G? I think i need a GoPhone monthly $25 Plan with the $25 Data Package - right? I just would like to know, if i can use this plan for tethering/mobile hotspot in the ipad an if i could get the simcard as an microsim also? Optionally i would like to get one of these Data Packages $30 for 3 GB LTE speed - but is this plan a prepaid or is this only an option for existing contracts?

I don't use ipad but I just put "ipad data plan" in the search box of AT&T wireless shopping site. Then I clicked on the link that says 4G LTE. You can visit the link and choose whatever you need right here:http://www.att.com/ipad/

If you would like to call the customer service number from outside the US, you can do so using Skype, as a foreign telephone will not connect with 1-800 numbers.

There i found the DataConnect Month Pass 5GB for $50/Month. I searched for an AT&T Store near our first stay in Miami and there i will hopefully get an microSIM to activate this Card with this great Plan online at this Page:

 The only thing AT&T never told my friend from Deutschland,he will need an USA credit card and address to active the SIM online.

 Just like you need passport information and address if you need to use a mobile phone in Germany.

After my vacation in Florida has come to an end, i can tell you my experiences with AT&T and my iPad:

Everything worked great and i had more LTE Speed, than i expected. First i visited two AT&T Stores in Miami. They both had none of these iPad microSIM Cards in stock. At an small AT&T Store in Marathon Key, i got this little tiny card and was happy. The employee told me, that i must have an U.S. Credit Card for registration and no tethering will work with the 5 GB Plan - this was no good news for me, but to auit this was no option for me, so i tryed and it worked, as i excepted. I just gave the Adress of our first Motel in Miami at registration and my german Credit Card and everything worked fine! After 3 Calls from the employee, he got the answer, i already got before about tethering: it will definitiv work with the 5 GB Plan. The bad thing on this was, that the Plan offers tethering, but AT&T has no carrier Settings for the new iPad till yet! So tethering does not work till today. All other things works great and we had a very relaxed vacation in Florida!

Thanks a lot for your support in here and the good support in this small AT&T Store in Marathon Key! The Guy hasn't charged me for the simCard because he wasn't sure about the answers and had to check check my requests.

So for all you guys, who wanna travell in the U.S. with your iPad and need a good working solution, just look for an AT&T Store, get an microSim for iPad, activate it with an U.S. Adress and your Creditcard (whatever domestic it will be) and there you go! 4G Speed is great (mostly available), LTE Speed is incredible (in urban centers) and Edge will work also (for me in the Evergaldes).

Oh...one thing i missed. Yes! Do not forget to cancel your Domestic DataConnect Pass Plans cause they will automatic renew every 30 days. You can cancel it, if your are back in germany. You just need an Internetconnection on your iPad (WLAN or local mobile). Cancellation can be found under Configuration >> mobile Data >> Your Plan >> Edit DataPlan
