Yes. The post paid SIM works fine on the Infuse for data.
And before anybody ask, I have purchased a data package on the prepaid SIM. It works on the 3GS, but not the Infuse.
lol. OK - we were thinking alike and you beat me to the edit. 
In that case, I don't know of any other possibilities, but hopefully some of the other newer smartphone users with prepaid service will have some additional thoughts.
