Data Feature Package & Voice Rollover
[ Edited ]

I've searched but can't find a solid answer to this question. I have a substantial balance on my PAYGO account which is primarily used for voice. I renew this every 90 days to keep the rollover in place. If I buy a monthly 1MB Data Feature Package every month for $4.99 will that keep the account balance rollover intact for minutes without additional funding? I also understand the data will rollover and accumulate, too. Does it have a maximum?

I am on the simple 10 cent per minute plan. Hope I've explained this correctly and thanks for any help.

Not sure I understand your question. As long as you keep your re-newing schedule you should be good. Unlike European model based on the balance change in either direction the only thing that extends your AT&T PAYGO account expiration date is additional funding. So just buying data packages will not affect the balance expiration date.

Don't know how much data you can accumulate and if there's a maximum at all.

Re: Data Feature Package & Voice Rollover

dmapr - Sorry for my unclear explanation. If I'm understanding you correctly I still have to fund the PAYGO account every 90 days  (I think it's a $25 minimum for a 90 day expiration) to keep it from expiring regardless of any feature package that is still valid.

I was just thinking that after my max balance was reached ($500) I could possibly get by with $4.99 monthly. I guess I'm wrong.

Thanks...

Yes, that's correct — you need to refill regardless of the state of any features, the balance expiration date is only moved when you refill. It used to be that you could get by using $5 feature cards every months, limiting your spending to $60 per year, but I don't believe those are available anymore. So you better make sure you don't hit that $500 limit or you may have trouble refilling at all.

OK, I'll just continue renewing as usual without going over. Thanks for answering my questions.
