All I want is my unlimited data back..

I never thought I would post here but theres a first for everything I guess..

So quick recap of my phone,  phone Motorola Atrix - Upgrading to Samsung galaxy S3-

Grandfathered in to unlimited data from my first iphone day.

Monday - I purchased a phone with walmart. Galaxy S3. Rep told I was able to keep all my current plan, When it came time to activate, I wasnt able to keep anything. Talked to ATT, 1st rep said I can keep. Walmart I can't keep. So I cancelled.

Tuesday - My account is all messed up. Plans have changed/data was changed to 3gb. Call ATT. They tell me that systems are down all day, cant do anything but they'll call me back tomorrow.

Wednesday - No call, so I call them, Finally get a rep that can help. At least she say the right words to not make me mad. She credits my account for all the trouble I had. Reinstates my upgrade eligibility back, data back and plan back.

I decide to go best buy that same day. Talk to rep and ask if I can keep all my plans intact. Yes I can. Purchase S3, at activation part, Rep tells me that ATT states I can't keep it. Fine, cancel.  Now my sim card is deactivated.  I call ATT, they tell me I have to go to a store. I spend about one hour to get a sim card at our local corp store.

Now the same night, I decide to go to Costco to purchase, Same reason, Can't use my data plan. Cool ATT store across the street, I head over there, I can keep everything nice! but phone is out of stock.

I head to another store, Finally they have the phone in stock, I can keep plan and data, Boy was I wrong.

Thursday - I decide to check my account. Data plan is gone, I have these other services added on, now I have insurance. I call them them up again, This is probably rep # 20. They said they'll open up a case and call me back on the 15th of october.

In the end, I just wanted a phone upgrade but I got a roller coaster ride.

question is can I keep my data plan or not, Why is it so hard.. jeez

thanks

Normally, if you're going from smartphone to smartphone, there shouldn't be a problem with keeping your Unlimited Data Plan. You may want to send Jamileh a Private Message to see if she can help out in resolving your problem. She's one of the Community Managers and has helped a lot of customers.
