No longer access to my att.net mailbox

Hi,

 

I have a very bad issue regarding my original att.net mailbox.

I registered it on 09/18/2009 as a freememberid mailbox without wireless or uverse service.

Just the mailbox and it works fine for a while.

(I have the original welcome confirmation mail still available)

 

I printed already a lot of business cards and this was my main mailbox.

 

A few days later, I was unable to login to my mailbox online at att.net, I got the error "username/password did not mach our records", and the password retrieval procedure fails,

but I was still able till last year to send and receive my mails trough outlook without any problems.

 

Currently, through outlook, I'm still able to send mails with this eMailaddress, but it doesn't work incoming and the sender who sends a mail to my mailbox, gets an automated reply "unknown email 551 not our customer"

 

I talked to AT&T reps and also the only chat and nobody can find my eMailaddress in the system.

 

Even trying to register this eMailaddress again is not possible (I get "please choose another name")

 

Could anyone help me how to proceed to get access again to my mailbox?

     Sorry about the trouble your having with receiving emails. Does every single person get that 551 error message? Usually if someone is getting that error sending email they should check and enable SMTP settings, your trouble seems to be receiving email. Please send a private message to our ATTCustomer care team to see if they can resolve this issue by using the link below . Make sure and include your name, an accessible email, phone number and the best time to be contacted. Please also allow up to 48 hours for a team member to contact you.
