I had ordered dsl and received first a confirmation email, and then another saying my order is being held up until I call the above number. She asked for ssn and said it was to check my credit. It was early so I gave it, and now im worried that it wasn't an AT&T number at all. Did I just give my info out to someone else? I've been calling and trying to find any way to contact AT&T but nobody else is answering, which makes me doubly suspicious. Don't know what to do now.

Any help on the veracity of this number? Or what I can do if it isn't legit?
