Re: RG box reboots everytime it lightnings outside

AT&T U-verse tech came out today and solved the problem quickly. He came into the house with a bunch of charts on his smart phone showing me the line in was terrible; the line "value" was in the low 30's. We have had no issues for 2 years. He checked the connections in the interface, then went to the pole box two poles away. Said he found a bird had built a nest in it that was letting rain water into the box. That was causing the line value to drop so low that when electrical interference dropped the value even more, it went below minimums and the RG would re-boot. He said the value is now in the 50's. Now even a treadmill (the RG has been in the exercise room since it was installed) motor's electrical interference plus the interference from the M-Cell won't drop the line value so low that the RG re-boots. So if your RG starts to act up during a T-storm, have them check the line value.
Kudos to Chris from AT&T U-verse Milwaukee for getting this issue resolved so quickly. Many would simply call it a line issue and put in a ticket for a lineman to come out. They have 15 minutes to diagnose and pass it along, or 90 minutes to diagnose and fix it, or their efficiency values start to fall and their manager gets on them. Instead, he went the distance to fix it.
