New u-verse user and already wanting to cancel.
I ordered uverse was told its very easy to setup, and that i would not have to be present for a technician that comes by the house as he just needs to be outside. Few days later I get multiple calls during my work day from a tech saying everything looks fine and my Internet should be working great. Um... I didn't even have my package yet/service connected. He seemed confused by this and unsure of why he was sent out then. After these many annoying phone calls I still didn't receive my package until the next day.

I received my uverse package and much to my frustration you need to have a computer with Ethernet for the initial setup (many new computers do not have an Ethernet port!), so I had to borrow a friend's old MacBook instead of being able to use my MacBook Air. Oh well, I follow the setup instructions and nothing happens. Just a blinking red broadband light and no connection.

I have left it plugged in for 2 days now and have been too busy with work to call. I finally call today only to have my call outsourced. I am beyond frustrated and will not deal with being told all of the troubleshooting steps I've already followed. I'm tired of this service already and haven't even gotten connected! I decided to go with AT&T because when I tried to call Comcast I was outsourced... Now I'm seeing/feeling AT&T is just as bad.

Any ideas on what's going on so I can avoid another unhelpful conversation with outsourced support?
