I switched from Charter cable to U-Verse in Feb of this year because my cable bill kept creeping up and up....was offered a great package ...welll...U-Verse internet sucks!!! if you think you are going to get better speed w/U-Verse think again..I am paying for 12mg...on a good day I'm lucky if I get 3mgs...don't go by att's speedtest because it lies...since installation I have had 10techs here and have had 4 modem replacements and waiting for the 11th to be delivered...as far as the 100.00 charge for the modem...that is a rip off...the first modem i got i found out was a refurbished one and recently found out that the ones that come off the techs trucks are 99% refurbished....I have had nothing but headaches since I had this installed...recently I decided to change out my Ethernet cable for a cat6 cable and that seemed to improve my speed some but it still fluctuates depending on the time of day....I have been in contact with some very nice gentleman from this panel and they have been working w/me to try and solve my modem issues..so I am hopefully for a brighter future w/att....good luck if you decide to switch!!!
