Was giving wrong informatio n by rep and now my account is closed help!

On Jan 17th 2013 I had my husband make a full payment to have my account reinstated as I was told by an at&t rep I had till Jan 17th 2013 to make my payment or else my account would be closed for good and a cancellation fee would also be added. So I called at&t via phone and asked them to reinstate my account as I had made my payment. The rep then tells me she can't because I am too late to do so and my account is canceled and that I have to pay $150 to even open a new account with them. I'm in shock and try to explain I was giving this date by a rep of at&t that it has to be a mistake i was told I had till today to pay. She then tells me it is pass 59 days and theirs nothing she can do. I try to explain with her I just paid a large amount and was told I had till this date, she then goes into the notes and pretty much tells me that their is no notes about this date by the rep I spoke to. So pretty much saying I am lying. She then says two days after speaking with that rep my account was pushed to a collection agency. I say why if I already made an verbally agreement to pay this in Jan? And the full 60 days wasn't even up yet? I had two reps tell me I should have done my own homework and counted the days out. Pretty insulting. So I guess I can't trust someone to do their job right then. I even spoke to another rep who tried to help me out but her manger wouldn't let her reinstate my account either. Just bull. So because I wasn't giving the right information from this rep who is not even being held accountable because theirs no written notes to prove she is the wrong, they can't do anything for me. I had been an at&t customer for 6 years and can't believe I was treated with no sympathy or any understanding. so maybe some rep can help me here?!
