How do I get ATT to look at SERVICE in my Area? It is less than acceptable.

Need to have someone look at the service in the area and I don't know how.  It has been a troubling experience to get ATT support to answer and get me details.  They say I have service and it is good, but my iPhone 5 does not work most of the time and drops calls the other times.

Need help!

I do know when the first of the iPhone 5s came in, and for about a two to 3 wk period, the call quality suffered in many areas, due to the extra load on the system. I, myself saw a drop in call quality and connectivity. Most have reported that call quality has gotten better once the system smoothed out. But there are still some compaints. For myself, my home and the street in front of my house has improved greatly, but I still have some bad service at times.

In addition to calling AT&T and having some troubleshooting done, you can stop in  the nearest Apple store to have your handset evaluated for hardware or software issues. Alternatively, you can download and install the "Mark The Spot" app on your phone. This feature enables real time reporting of trouble areas, so AT&T knows exactly where you're having trouble.

Hope this helps.

Hi there BogeyWA! Apologies to hear about your iPhone 5 dropping calls! I would recommend calling us back by dialing the number below and inform one of our agents about this issue so we can trouble shoot this for you. :smileyhappy:

AT&T has an application that you can download onto your device called AT&T Mark the spot.

Download that, you'll be able to report issues in your area straight to AT&T.

You can also call into customer care and speak with them, but I wouldn't really recommend that... It'd take a while to report that issue.

ATT Application was great, but i don't feel like anything will be done nor do I know if it was submitted correctly.

Support line was tragic.

Told me that my home or proximity to a cell tower causes this.  The closest tower is 2000 feet.  I have no service and their map tells me that I should have the BEST service.  I don't get it.  Was on Verizon and it worked fine in my area.

Then they tried to upsell me on a Microcell.  $200 to get better signal in my home.  Just my home.  Not my area.

I'm shocked.  I don't have a solution and have a 2 year commitment.

Is there someone at ATT that will listen and try to solve the problem.  The said it was BEST service in my area.  It is non-existant at BEST.

I have the same problem, actually. My area is supposed to be one of the best but in order to get any signal bars and not have dropped calls, I need to switch my phone to 2G. I'm also going to check out that ATTMark the Spot app and see if anything can get done somewhere down the road, or I may have to switch carriers.
