quick question about AT&T survey text and/or call
[ Edited ]
Hey everyone, just had a quick question. I'm overall satisfied with AT&T and have found the customer service folks to be nice and helpful 99% of the time. We are AT&T wireless customers only, we don't have any other products currently with AT&T. Here's my question: last week I thought I might have mailed our payment too late to arrive on time so I called AT&T wireless just to make sure. I spoke to a very nice and very helpful customer service rep who looked everything up, put a note on the account that I had already mailed the check, and told me that the due date wasn't for a few more days so it should be fine. He then asked if he had taken care of everything for me and I said yes and thanked him. He said that if I was asked to do a survey he would appreciate it and that the surveys were important for a CSR. I thanked him and assured him I would be happy to say on a survey he had done a good job. So anyway, about 2 hours after I got off the phone with him I got a free text message from AT&T that was indeed a survey about how he had done. There were 3 questions, I answered the first 2 questions and gave him the highest scores but I totally forgot to answer the 3rd question, as I got a phone call and simply forgot to complete the text survey by answering that 3rd final question. Anyway, about 3 days later I was home and outside and we got a call on our home landline (non AT&T landline) from an unknown caller (no number listed just unknown caller); my wife answered and the person said they were with AT&T and asked for me, my wife told them I was outside and the person asked when a good time to call back was, that they just wanted to ask some questions; my wife thinks they mentioned a survey but cant remember for sure. When I came in and my wife told me, I realized I had not completed the text survey for the nice CSR who had helped me 3 days earlier, so I quickly found the text message on my phone from AT&T and responded to that 3rd final survey question and then I quickly got a text saying thanks for completing the survey, etc. I called AT&T and they said they didn't see any notes about any calls to us and that all was paid and good, so they said it must have been a survey and they wouldn't be able to see those anyway in the notes. So I just wanted to make sure there isn't a scam like this, etc and that this sounds correct. I assume maybe it was just a survey follow up call to our home phone number since I had forgot to complete the text survey, or just a courtesy follow up? No big deal. Thanks guys, I appreciate the good service from AT&T.

Re: quick question about AT&T survey

The only times I've heard of them calling customers back is when a customer rates them the lowest, a 1. They sometimes call back to see if there is anything else the customer needs or why it was a 1. My friend got a 1, but when they called the customer, the customer said she meant to give him a 10 instead of a 1. I have not heard of them calling customers for incomplete surveys. Maybe someone else may have more info on this.

Thanks, I have no idea what else they could have wanted? I wish there had been a call back number or something.

Anyone else have any ideas? Probably a survey follow up you think?

Re: quick question about AT&T survey text and/or call

Hey everyone, just wanted to say that I think I got the answer. I called AT&T Wireless Customer Care back around noon today and got a great CSR. I told her the story, and that I just wondered why AT&T called, etc. She looked it up and said that she did see that a survey call had been made to our home phone number on the date I gave her (a few days ago), so I guess that takes care of that. I assumed that's what is was, but was just wondering. A few days ago when I called back the same evening that we had received the call, the CSR then didn't see any survey calls etc. but maybe they didn't know how to look or maybe it had not had time to get in the system yet or something. But anyway, today the CSR said that indeed a survey call had been placed to our home number on that particular day.  So thanks everyone for your help.  I personally think ATT has great customer service; over the years they have always been nice, friendly, and helpful whenever I've called. That is very much appreciated :-)
