how do i know if i accidently ported my number?

i was trying to set up google voice voice mail

Does your service with att still work? When you port your number, it automatically cancels your att service, so if your phone is still working and you can make and receive calls, you didn't port your number.

I think so. Don't have anyone to call. I been texting OK though.
