Is it possible to switch back to AT&T and keep the same number?

Here is my scenario:
-I switched from AT&T to Verizon on June 25, 2010
-I had my number ported
-I paid the ETF and closed the AT&T account.
I recently have fallen in love with the BlackBerry Torch.
Would there be any issues with switching back to AT&T and porting the same number again? (Outside of having to pay $290 to Verizon)

Yes, you have past the 180 day requirement for opening a "NEW" account with AT&T. You would just port your number back and you are eligable for any reduced price being offered for the "phone" you want.

Did you have good coverage in your area with AT&T? It's not worth switching back from Verizon if you did not have coverage that best suited your needs. Service is way more important than just one single phone - it's the network that it's on that matters the most. Most people don't seem to grasp that concept... Oh well. But if you had acceptable coverage with AT&T, go right on ahead with that cool Torch. ![]()

Alright, then it sounds like the Torch and back with AT&T is a go for you. ![]()
