Chronick95 - Yes, there is only one coax connection at the NID. If it does go directly to the RG, as you say, you do not have any other TV/STBs (or they are cat5). You would need to reroute the existing coax or get a longer one to replace it.

If you do have other TVs then you will have a diplexer between the NID and the RG, as I described in my previous post.
