This past week has been very "interesting and challenging". Wasn't that a polite way to say it? Last Monday, AT&T was here switching my systems back to them from Comcast which I had only had 30 days and I decided I liked AT&T better. After the installer was here from 10:30 a.m. until 7:45 p.m., I found out that AT&T had mistakenly taken my cell phone # and ported it to my house phone. AND AT&T cancelled my account with my cell phone provider. WHAT? AND, where was my house phone? Long story short, I finally got my phones back in order after 4days. I was fortunate enough to finally come across a supervisor named Angie that actually did the unthinkable and stayed on the phone with me until the problem was resolved, including making a 3-way phone call to my cell phone provider. She got the job done for me. I thank you Angie, you were professional and calm and helpful. No one else could do anything but transfer me to the next person and the next person and so on. I asked Angie if I could have information so I could commend her to her manager and this is what she gave me, the Forum. It is just astounding to me that true customer service is so hard to come by. I was laid off from my job, but when I go back to work, I will remember this and I will be the exception to the rule just like this supervisor was. I can only hope every phone call I made to them WAS recorded and they can use them all for training sessions.
