I bought an iPhone 5 with at&t carrier but full price. I am supposed to be able to unlock it online. However, I do not have social security number because I am not a us citizen. What should I do?

2) unit bought from US

4) Firmware: 04.10.01

6) Version 4.3.3

7) Model MC536LL

My QUESTIONS are:

1) How can I use my iPhone by removing the Gevey Sim? Is it possible?

2) By using Gevey Sim, with Wi-Fi signal, I cannot access SKYPE. message: internet not available. 

3) Facebook Video calling not working

4) I can use other social media like FB, Twitter, Yahoo etc but SKYPE will not allow me to access it.

Hello, I recently bought a used iPhone 4S for AT&T and I want to use it on the T-Mobile network. So I got it 'unlocked' by a third party group. The guy activated my iPhone with an AT&T sim he had lying around. He told me to restore my iPhone via iTunes in 24 hours. I did that, and when the process was finishing I got an error from iTunes saying I need a sim card. I don't have an AT&T sim card and when I went to the store they told me I would need to pay $85 for some plan that I don't want just to get a sim card to activate my iPhone. I am going to be receiving my T-Mobile sim card soon but I am afraid it won't be able to activate my iPhone as my iPhone is still locked to AT&T and won't be unlocked until I activate it with an AT&T sim card. What should I do? Thanks.

I'm gonna guess that you live outside the U.S., got your iPhone from a relative or friend and were shocked that an AT&T iPhone didn't work in your country.

If this is correct, complete the form in this link, (select "Non-Customer") and be ready to provide a full retail price receipt from a authorized iPhone vendor (eBay, Craigslist and private sellers are not authorized retailers).

you phone was jail broken, the only authorized method of unlocking a att iphone is to fill out the form at the att website - if you can supply the required documentation that is requested and it qualifies then the phone will be unlocked, if not then you need to use ATT's network.

Go back to your "third party group" and complain to them, you phone was not unlocked in the required manner. Here is the link to the form you are required to fill out to open a case to see if you device qualifies for a unlock

He didn't jailbreak it he took the IMEI and did something with that. The guy at the AT&T store directed me to this guy when I said I didn't want the $85 plan just to get the SIM.

Doesn't matter - if the unlock did not come fromATT / Apple, it is not officially unlocked - go back to the 3rd party that did the invalid unlock - they would be the ones to support you. Then again you can probably ask a friend that has a att account to get you a ATT sim for about 6 bucks from a store

I'm trying to unlock it using the iPhone unlock form and I need to send the original receipt by fax, but I'm in Brazil and I can't send a fax to US. there is no email address, you can go to a local place of business that can fax it for you for a charge or use one of the online internet fax sites that are out there - such as Efax or MyFax

select Non-Customer and supply the inforamtion, once you have a case number they will request that you fax the reciept showing that you paid full retail at a authorized dealer to them, if you do not have access to a fax machie you can use something like efax or myfax internet service to do this, there is a charges from them though

Ok here is my problem;

I bought an iPhone4 in Fall 2010 with contract but that time I was student, and I wasn't holding a SSN so I put it under one of my relative's name. In Summer 2011, I went back to my country for summer holiday. It was 3 months so I canceled my contract and paid termination fee. When I came back to States, I made a new contract under my cousin's name with the same iPhone4. On september 10, I made a request about unlocking my iphone but it was rejected.

The reason was "we found no valid current or former mobile or account number for this request."

What should I do right now? I upgraded my line to iPhone 5 and now I want to unlock my iPhone 4. I will send it to my brother at the overseas.

Hello.. When I was in US I got a iphone 4  from long time ago more than 2 years  ..  Now I'm in Dubai  , I tried to use the iphone in our local service provider but its not working due to its blocked from At&t
