iphone 5 Personal Hotspot

Personal Hotspot on iOS 6.01 is AWFUL! I just upgraded to the iPhone 5 and was able to connect on Friday; haven't been able to use the feature ever since.
I have done everything possible, from resetting network options, to restoring the iPhone and now i'm getting an error message that i need to set up the personal hotspot by calling customer support or on the website. The feature is ALREADY ENABLED on my account.
On the IPhone 4, I had to turn it off/on repeatedly, turn Wi-Fi on/off repeatedly and finally if I was lucky I was able to connect. This issue needs to be fixed ASAP; pointless for me to pay $50 a month for this service if i can't use the feature.
What is the reasoning for requiring Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and USB tethering??
Lack of configuration options is also disturbing.

your complaints appear to mainly be related to how Apple wrote the code - you might want to talk to them at a Genius bar in a Apple store. When you say the feature is enabled on your account, are you using the new Mobile Share data plan or the 5GB 50.00 a month data plan? You will probaby be better off posting in the Apple forum or taking it to the Genius bar as I metioned earlier

ATT you need to fix this!!!!!!
att supplies the carrier frequency, I doubt your issue is related to that, take it to the Apple genius bar and have them look at it
