My 10/6 16 Gb Black order came off Backorder last night around 10pm central time.  It's 9:15 am and still no shipping number.  I was under the understanding that the shipping number would be assigned within around 12 hours.  Being that today is Saturday probably isn't helping the matter either.  Now wondering if I'll have the phone in my hands on Monday or Tuesday.

corrct, they don;t ship on weekends so it will probably be monday evening when you get your tracking number
