I want to add that 21 to 28 business days is a very stupid way of stating a time frame, make it multiples of 5 business days or multiples of 7 normal days, or make it weeks.. or wait.. are they working on Sundays? Most probably not, they are just very incompatible at managing this short supply process, starting from the communications....

21 biz days is over a month folks. Att just tries to manipulate the time by using different choce of words. Very funny

Been lurking here for a while, boyfriend and I also ordered the 21st. Customer service reps have been inconsistent with delivery times... Last time we checked we were told it would ship between today and the 22nd. At this point, I'm just hoping to have it before I have surgery on the 24th!

Woohoo! Just what I wanted to hear -_-' I will call and see whats going and give updates.

I placed my order for 16GB Black @ AT&T store on 09/21. Status was on BO till today 10.30pm EST. After seeing posts of canceling and checking for pickup at Apple store, I have tried it today - and it worked. Initially AT&T CSR(s) said that they can't cancel it, because i ordered it in store, but finally the third person cancelled it in 5 mins, and restored my phone upgrade. Immediately i have ordered at apple site. AT&T order status page reflected order cancellation immediately. Thanks to everyone who posted their details here. Wish every one will get their phones soon.

I can't believe how long  this is taking to receive this iphone 5. ... Once we do receive our phones, do we have to take it to the store to have them set it up? I have the 3gs already and was wondering what I'd have to do.

Dasad, did you get the phone yet? Did the apple store shows in stock?

Apple stores recieved huge shipment they had all whites available in all sizes didnt even look at black. They had them available in all the stores!!!

So if i ordered in store on sept. 30 and still showing BO, do you think it is better if i cancel now and try apple store, or should i wait, especially that i am porting my number from tmobile to att.

I would and I did. My order was SEP 20!

I've read a lot if useful info on here. I feel for everyone who ordered their phone and have to go thru this agonizing waiting game. What Bullsh!t.
<br>Here's what I know. My gf ordered white 64gb and I ordered black 32gb on 10/02 at the att store. Hers arrived today 10/11. Lucky huh?! Mine is still in BO and after reading this forum, seems like I still have a long wait til mine ships. I at least know that when my BO changes from 1 to 0, then I can expect it to ship in the next couple of days. <br>I guess the moral of this story is to order the white 64gb and your wait won't be long. <br>I'll be checking back here regularly to relate to everyone and anxiously wait like a crackhead til my phone arrives.

So u r suggesting paying extra $200 to get it earlier?! What if I dont like white. Tgis is america, welcome to the land of choices. Screw apple if it will chamge that

Not necessarily white, I think there's more 64gb available bc most don't want to pay the ridiculous extra $200 for 64gb and are happy with 16 or 32gb.

You are right, it is rediculous to pay that much for the 64.

 

anyone who does not get his phone on time should call and get credit and/or a loaner phone , after all, they are not giving us a free phone to wait for it a whiole month or even longer!!!!!

 

I have a question that I opened a new account with ATT and preordered my iphone 5 on 09/27 via ATT website and have told by ATT Customer service later that my order may have been shipped out between 10/27 thru 10/20 and I cannot cancel my order before I receive the phone. Tonight I found an apple store near my place which still have the iphone 5 in stock and I will be able to pick it up tomorrow 10/12. So my question is If in case I cannot cancel my previous order from ATT website by calling, can I still just order the phone from Apple store tomorrow and open a new account with ATT and then cancel the phone and the service that I have ordered on ATT website after it ship to me?
