just checked my order online and it says shipping date is 12/03/12...today is the 3rd but haven't received an email saying it shipped. Hopefully it's true though and that ill be getting it this week!

This is probably marketing built a yellow case is easy as red, black ,cyan and white they can make tons in a day so wassup .My order was placed on November 26-2012 and in December 6 I called AT&T to see how is going my order and they tell me that they are waiting for a new merchandiseto arrive and will ship my phone on Dec.17,so I hope to get the phone.
If I no receive my phone before dec.24 i quit forever I will return to BB.
ps; I'm from P.R. and the red Lumia is everywhere in the country along with black and white.

Well it's worth waiting for... but if you do decide BB is the way to go wait for the new BBX OS which is dropping in February 2013.  I have been waiting for the new BB myself, and will own the BBX when it shows (I run BB as well as the Lumia 920)  Thanks for sharing the info on what you see going on in your country - I hope you get to hold the Yellow in your hands soon! :smileyhappy:

Yeah, I see the new BB OS 10 and is impressive.

The Yellow Nokia as i see never arrive to stores in my country cuz i call to many AT&T kiosk and they always told me that yellow is not available,and that was the same launch day.

We've seen stronger than expected demand of the yellow version and have also experienced delays receiving that color from the manufacturer. As a result, we now expect your order to arrive on or before December 18.

There are many stories where people have notified Nokia's CEO and he personally looked into issues.

I just asked why Nokia showed Yellow in everything from Magazine articles, television, blogger reviews, etc. and then made it hard to get... now is no time in Nokia's history for exclusivity. 

 

But as I said, the device is worth the wait, because I would have been disappointed if I didn't' get the exact color "I" wanted. I have to take Advil on and off due to my wrist hurting from flicking the screen I do it so much.  My desk has 3 smartphones on it right now... I have never used and played with a smartphone more than this one.  The Advil is helping ; )

So true ,The Sand.Is exactly what they do; They give all the publicity with yellow and look now.Let me tell you that is the only color I want if not I quit Nokia forever.They have the opportunity once again to emerge to the smarthphone business and they are going to ruin the brand forever.

BTW, I ordered my phone on Nov 28th. ATT is silent even after I called..None of the agents are knowledgeable.

I ordered mine on Nov. 14th and still haven't received it or been told when I might.  Read below if you want to share in my frustration.

 

My ridiculous experience with AT&T:

 

I ordered my phone on Nov. 14th and received an email with my shipping information and the product I ordered which was the Nokia Lumia 920 in Yellow.  (I got a discount through my work so I went through the Premier website which seemed like a no brainer because the phone was discounted, I got a free yellow charging plate, I got a monthly discount and they waived my activation fee!) Right from the get go it sounded great and this is what my email stated:

 

"We estimate your order will be shipped within 2 - 5 business days. We will notify you by email when it has shipped. 
All orders are processed on a first-come, first-served basis."

 

They estimated wrong because when I called after the 5 business days came and went I found out the phone had been backordered and I wasn't notified.  The rep was nice and she empathized and gave me a $50 credit once the phone shipped to make up for their lack of communication.  That bought them another couple weeks until I called again because I still had no information.  Each time I have called I have been told that the phone my ship in 2 to 3 weeks.  


Well it has now been a month and a half and yesterday I received a call stating that the phone is still on backorder and if it pends for 2 more weeks then they will cancel my order!  I was with my family so I told the woman that them canceling my order was unacceptable and there is no way I waited a month and a half to be told that they don't have the device and I would have to start the process all over.  I told her to please note my frustration and that when I called back I would be speaking with a supervisor.

 

Today I called and I spoke to a rep (he was nice, as they all are... But they never know enough about anything to really resolve an issue) and I asked to speak to a supervisor (of course they had no notes on all the times I called because they can't keep records for an in process order because I'm not actually a customer yet) and the supervisor was unbelievable. He told me that he couldn't help because the Premier department where I placed my order wasn't open.  I told him I knew that but I wanted to make sure my order was NOT cancelled because it isn't my fault the inventory isn't there.  I tried to explain that there must be someone within AT&T that knows when Nokia will ship more devices and there is no reason to cancel my order, I would continue to wait for the device.  He then told me that there is a chance that Nokia might not even be producing more 920s in Yellow (WHICH IS ABSURD, ITS THEIR MOST MARKETED COLOR AND IT IS SHOWN ON EVERY AT&T, NOKIA, and AMAZON WEBPAGE).  He spent the entire conversation telling me it is my fault I want a specific phone in a specific color and that no one could help me and there is no way to not cancel my order and that maybe the Premier department could help on Monday.  He even at one point said that Nokia was my supplier and not AT&T so I need to really deal with them... The fact that I order the phone through their website and have a receipt from AT&T tells me they need to fix this.  

 

Am I wrong in thinking that a cell carrier with an exclusive contract with a supplier for a specific phone would have a handle on their own inventory demand and when that inventory might ship?  Maybe they need a new supply chain manager because the "Customer Service" representative sure made it sound like there is no one at AT&T doing that job.

 

Anyway, I called back to get the supervisors name (so I could write some type of strongly worded letter) and of course there is no record of who I spoke to, but they would be sure to let his boss know.... HOW?! You have no record of who I spoke to!

 

I considered switching colors, but I feel like I should ride this out the next two weeks to see if they really do cancel my order. If they do that then its clear I should be letting another company earn my business.  Apparently, AT&T has enough business that they can just fail people like me and still make money. Must be nice.

What a story... I can't believe you got a manager!  I have a Blackberry that is only capable of 2G due to overcrowding with 3Gplus where I live in Los Angeles.  This has been an ongoing problem for 1 year 4 months.  AT&T recently pushed out an update for the Blackberry and the update took away the users ability to select 2G. So now the devices (there are 2 of us with Blackberries) just sit here unable to connect. I pay them for 2 unlimited data plans and have no data connection during the day - yet I still have never been allowed to speak to a manager.  So kudos to you for getting that done!

I hope everybody who wants Yellow eventually gets Yellow.  I posted a link in an above post with contact info for Nokia if you would like to tell them your disappointment in an obvious lack of stock.  I don't know if they will respond any better than AT&T - but at least you know you were able to say/write your frustration.

When I bought this device it was an upgrade and it would not let me check out with my old 2G plan... it listed no 2G, just 3G (or something so low nobody would want it.)  I selected 3G and knew my bill would be higher because it is more expensive, but I figured that was my only option.  My bill came in with a mistake and I called and during the conversation I was told I could have kept my older plan - the 2G plan.  I was thrilled!!  I do not need 3G of data.  So now I have the exact same plan as before with the same price.  My bill is not higher now...

 

If you were also unable to checkout without selecting a higher GB plan - call, they can get you the plan you had before.

 

I just wanted to pass that along...

I placed my order on 11/22/2012 and never received my phone. My credit card was charged and all, yet for no reason, last Monday (12/31) I received an order cancellation email with no real explanation. I feel that I was sold an item that AT&T cannot deliver, and was given no indication of a back order. I am now waiting for my account information to be corrected, just so that cancel my small business account and take it elsewhere. I think it is ludicrous that nobody was ever able to give me a straight answer as to my delivery (even after no less than 20 calls to customer service) and then, out of the blue, my order gets cancelled. This is not the kind of service I expected after almost a decade of being an AT&T customer. I know I could just order another phone, or get a different color, but that is besides the point. I am making a point to let as many people know about my experience via my articles an my blogs and other media outlets I manage. I had hoped that maybe mine was an isolated case, a system error or something, but after reading the many forums, I've been sadly proven wrong.
