I've never heard of a store matching a black friday sale price on an item recently purchased in the days before black friday.

If it's a Black Friday special than there is no price protection policies in place, it's Black Friday, it's expected for companies to offer special deals, but no retailers that I know of would ever match a Black Friday price for something purchased before or after the fact.

I heard about people calling AT&T customer support and getting the $50 credit, but I think AT&T corporate might have found out about all of the credits being given and told reps to stop because people are now saying that they cant get the $50 so those people that did get it might be very lucky. If you cant get the $50 then you will have to return the phone and then rebuy them on Friday for $50.

....that would be more hassle than its worth especially if you get charged the $35 restocking fee.

I went to our local AT&T store to get the $49.99 920 and they had no idea what I was talking about. They were selling the 920 for $99.99 in the store.

I agree the $99.99 is a good price but I sent my Retail Sales Consultant an email asking about the credit anyway.  I have been a very loyal At&t customer since the early '90's.  Love the phone but hopefully the problem with syncing with some vehicle Bluetooth systems will be resolved soon.  Can't get mine to work in my '07 Dodge Truck...my Samsung Focus worked great.

So I emailed the Retail Sales Rep that sold me the two phones a week ago....

And I quote....

"we can absolutely credit your AT&T account the
difference in cost since the phones went on sale. We offer a 14 day price match
guarantee in case prices change."

Now it hasn't happened yet but I have it in an email that says it will.
