If you have the bug report feature on for iOS 5.x & iOS 6.x to automatically upload, they will find out if it crashes. As for watching shows from the channel guide, it is only for choosing to watch on your tv, not the device itself. Also keep in mind, if you are talking about the online vs. the channel guide stuff, it depends on what you are exactly stating as not being able to watch the programming.
Really need more info as to what exactly you are stating, and a screen shot from your phone, showing the program you are not able to watch from your phone. To do the screenshot, you press the power button & home button at the same time, and it will save the screen shot in your photos folder on your phone.
"Ren: Now listen, Cadet. I've got a job for you. See this button? Don't touch it! It's the History Eraser button, you fool!
Stimpy: So what'll happen?
Ren: That's just it. We don't know. Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?"

Thanks for the replies. I'm not wishing for any new features for the app, like streaming TV to the mobile device. I would like it to do today what it was doing on Monday before the Uverse app developers updated the app for iOS 6.0.
Here is the screen with the (newly minted) bug:
Above, the small icon to the left of "Record Settings" -- the "watch" button. This button no longer works. There have been other complaints about this problem on the iTunes app review forum. It doesn't matter what I do on my end, reboot the phone, reboot the receivers, clear the app cache, delete and reinstall the app...

The record just tells the ATT servers, to tell your DVR, that you wish to record the program.

This button no longer does what it was doing pre-upstate -- enabling me to watch the selected show on my TV.

Double check the Enabled devices app on the receivers. I had to turn mine to disabled, then to just leaving it to allow any device on our network, due to Custom no longer worked for iOS 6.x updated devices.
I do not think that it is a IOS issue, but that we have found a bug with the Enabled Devices app & current software on the boxes that was last loaded.
There are still a lot of apps that have not been updated to this date for iOS 6.x, due to the developers of them will not, or have not the time to get them out in the wild for people to use.
Most are probably waiting to either see when/if ATT will release the developer kit for Android OS, or waiting to see what happens with Apple, for the next gen iDevice that is possible due out next year, along with iOS 7.x.

Sometimes to support new hardware, you have to be able to support the newest version of the OS. Sometimes when you support the newest version of the OS, things have to be changed in your application. Sometimes those changes make it not work on the older versions of the OS.
So, either (a) AT&T could not support all these customers with new phones or (b) make some older customers who have not yet upgraded a bit unhappy. Either way, someone was going to be unhappy. Unfortunately the someone is you.
Sometimes you're the windshield; sometimes you're the bug.
