Just got U-verse installed.

FIRST PROBLEM: I had all my desktop, laptop, and wireless printers all working properly on AT&T DSL service. When the tech installed our U-verse equipment he was not able to get either of my two Kodak wireless printers connected. He could only suggest I contact Kodak which does not have live tech support. I have gone through all the help screens Kodak offers and cannot get either of my two printers connected. It does see the network SSID, but when I enter the Security code the printer attempts to connect for an extended period of time and then reports back that it cannot connect to the router.
SECOND PROBLEM: My desktop computer required a USB Wireless attachment to change it from an Ethernet cable to a wireless connection. My signal strength varies from LOW to NONE. The adapter is located about 30 feet from the router and does have a couple of walls between. I do not have an option to relocate the router, and my desktop unit is built into a desk unit and also cannot be moved, How do I get a signal strength strong enough to allow consistent connectivity.
I have had the technician for AT&T out twice to resolve these issues and he insists that he does not know anything about these printers and tells me he cannot help.
Can someone else provide me some assistance ?
