Finally nearing the end of the remodel.
I will be contacting AT&T next week to resolve the phone static issue as well as the caller ID issue.
Next will be the BBU. I didn't know one was supposed to be installed with the U-Verse phone. It seems the installer had all of his units recalled by Belkin and he failed to tell me I should have one. Belkin has called me several times as well as sending me numerous e-mails wanting to replace my current unit with a new one. I can't seem to get it across to the overseas reps that I never got one to return. I have contacted AT&T but they don't seem to know how to handle this issue. Hopefully a onsite technician or supervisor can help resolve this as well.
Since you have Voice phone they are required to install a BBU for 911 emergency calls. But since there's a nationwide shortage it's probably why you didn't receive one and are getting so many calls. Hopefully you still have some paperwork so they can contact the premise tech to verify you didn't receive one. He should be the one to help straighten this situation out.
