ATT CEO Chooses A 40 dollar Fee Over Lifelong Customers

I just spoke to ATT Customer Service Manager and was informed that even though I had no idea my phone had ever been disconnected and that I have been a customer since 2005 that pays 100 dollars a month to ATT every month they are charging me with a reconnection fee that is absolutely non negotiable.  I told the CS Rep that they had a choice between getting my 40 dollar fee or losing a Customer forever who is giving them 100 dollars a month and was told that they will gladly cancel my service but the fee will not be waived.  Apparently they lost 22 million dollars last year by waiving reconnection fees and the CEO has made a company wide proclamation that no reconnection fee will ever be waived again.  That is so smart.  You have just lost my business forever over 40 dollars.  I know ATT makes it as difficult as possible for Customers to leave but please do not let them wring money out of you that is not deserved.  Pay them their extra fees that may be made up and cancel their service.  Let them lose the tens of thousands they would have made off you over time and let them compare that to the 22 million they lost last year off the reconnection fees.  I bet it costs them more in the long run to anger and lose decades old customers.  Excellent Decision Mr. CEO, way to find ways to squeeze every last drop of blood from those pathetic customers of yours.
