Re: AT&T denied my premier discount on data plan

When logged on to my att account and added a new iphone to my family plan, I saw the rate for 3G data for iphone was $22.5. It clearly said the rate was $30/month but with the discount my rate would be only $22.5. Good deal....I thought. That made it easy to choose 3G@$22.5 over 300M@$20
I did not see the "discounted rate" on bill off course!
When I called the billing department and I was told they dont see my discounts in the system.
I went to AT&T store and shoed them the prints of my order which indicated the rate of 22.5 and they told me they could not find that in their system and could not do anything about it as I had ordered this online and not through the store!
Funny story is that even at this date if I try to order a new line I still see the discounted rate !! ( so yes this is still going on )
Long story short, you will get discounted price quotes just to make certain services attractive to buy.
You should not but expect to see the same numbers in your bill.
I have just signed with AT&T and I guess I will be paying this price for next 2 years!
This may not make me happy but apparently for AT&T its working juts fine.
There is a note on the form that states TBD - To Be Determined, so it is a estimate of what your bill with be and what, if any the dscounts apply to. ATT only applies a discount to the 5GB / 50.00 a month data plan and the new shared plans, no other data plans are discounted unless it is specificly stated in the paper work of what ever company or organization that you qualify for. The first step would be to contract the administrator of who ever controls ytour discount and request a copy of the paperwork on exactly what it applies to, then if it specificly states that a discount is applied for any data plan that is used, then you have something to back up the statement, if it does not then the carriers rules take precedence on the actual bill
