I saw it on a blog someone said they talked to a Att rep and they told them that sounded reasonable since Att the last one to release jelly bean honestly the one x is trash I've had two of them still have it the first one had sim.card issue as for most of them do and now this one the battery doesn't last long at all maybe jelly bean will fix it if they would just release it

JB is supposed to improve battery life.

I call foul regardless. Every AT&T rep online and in real life has been so close-lipped or clueless that I doubt this date range is "really, really it, guys!" this time.

 

(Although, I almost certainly will be checking for the update every day in this range because I secretly wish it were true.)

Well it may not to true its just what someone said but it should be ready by Friday how fn long does it take to certify it that's what. Att rep told me on Twitter said they were in the process of.certifying it but they have blew so much smoke up our butts

I really doubt that AT&T will roll a major update like this on a Friday. Call me skeptical. 

Why? what is wrong with a Friday?

 

Besides some other phone brands had this update last december.......

They could do it I mean the servers do all the work lol

I don't know why they even bother responding to tweets, or in this forum for that matter, if they aren't going to give any useful information.  What's so hard about saying, "We're certifying the software.  Should be released sometime this month/in the next 3 months/next Christmas."  Just give me an idea of when to check back for news.

 

All I'm saying is that being left completely in the dark for months with only a "we're working on it" gives me a lot time to shop other carriers who "work on it" faster.  :/

When updates roll out to thousands of people, crashes or bugs that were missed in smaller testing groups show up in droves.  I don't know how things go at AT&T, but if even a portion of the technical side of staff work only Monday through Friday, that leaves less people working there on the weekends to handle any problems that may occur with the rollout.

 

Just a theory, though.  Again, I don't work there and have no clue if a Friday rollout is out of the question.

Riiiggght.... That will show them... 

I was at an AT&T store yesterday 2/5/13 and the sales rep was fixing my HTC One X as I had a Warranty replacement. He told me that an HTC rep had been to their store earlier in the day and said that the Jelly Bean update is starting today 2/7/13 for US users. We'll see....

Has anyone tried to update I can't says install interrupted I have to wait till 5

I tried updating just now and got the same "no updates available" message I've been getting.  

If they had actually started the update today it would be all over the internet. Not happening today or probably any time soon for that matter.
