They all will get it it may still be slow to roll out... I have 2 note ii,'s I used that method on both it seems like only the people who are not getting it are the ones trying to so many times

Going to my local AT&T store is my next step but I'm not too hopeful... but we'll see.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 MultiView firmware - WHEN?

"Are you guys trying to do this over wi-fi I would suggest doing it with it being turned off and using the network. I tried over wi-fi and it didn't work, I set my date a ahead and turned it off and used LTE and it found it right away"

No method in the now 11 pages of this forum thread have worked... they're all a bust. Supervisor who was clueless finally came back to say that it was rolling out in batches and that I'd get a text message when the update was available for me. I have zero confidence in her answer although she thanked me for educating her on the whole subject.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 MultiView firmware - WHEN?
Quote from Khemistry, page 10

"At any rate, I also asked him how the update was released so I can pass the information along to people on sites like XDA and others. I wanted to know was the update a staggered release or should it have been available to everyone at once? He told me that from what he was told, the update was INITIALLY staggered, but as of right now, EVERYONE should be able to update to 4.1.2. So, there you have it. From the sheep's mouth. I hope this information is helpful for someone. I will post this on a few other websites I'm following pertaining to this same issue." So one story is that it's out for everyone and the other is that it's still rolling out. So I'm guessing that they have no clue what they're taking about or what we are taking about.

Hi,

I've been unable to connect to my home wifi since i did the update yesterday. I get an error message that the wifi network signal is too weak. Everything was fine before the update. all my other devices are connected with no problems. battery pull worked for a few minutes then i got disconnected from wifi again. At&t tech support couldnt help. Any ideas?

thanks!

I don't have your exact device so I'm not sure if this option is there, but you can check to see if this will help. Go to your Settings>Wi-fi and press the menu key. Select Advanced, then see if you have the option "Avoid poor connections". If you have this menu option and it is checked, uncheck it to see if this helps to maintain your Wi-Fi connection.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 MultiView firmware - WHEN?

Phoenix, Arizona here. Still no update.

I was initially concerned that this was because of my semi-unique situation...

I bought my phone at full retail from AT&T and immediately called support to have it unlocked to be used on T-Mobiles much cheaper prepaid plan. I wanted the AT&T model tho so that I would have no issues with LTE connectivity or any fusses from them down the road should I return to AT&T. Both AT&T and T-Mobile directed me to use Samsung Kies to update to download any potential updates. This did not work for me. Like previous posters Samsung Kies told me that 4.1.1 was the latest version available for my device. I have been fiddeling with previously mentioned clock trick to no avail. I will continue checking daily.

What is wrong with this company???? I'd like to send a letter to the CEO. I can't believe how unorganized they are.

Please do! The more people that get ticked off about this the better. Let them know you're frustrated with the issue. I feel like they are aware of the issue but have put it on the backburner, probably until after New Years. They probably don't think its a big enough to deal to be a priority.

No update yet in Chicago, IL. I've been trying over LTE and Wifi once every 24 hours since the initial release. Does anyone else from IL have it yet?

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 MultiView firmware - WHEN?
I think it's usually a week after the release before everyone would have it. The rollout doesn't go one day then allow everyone to get it right then. This is not unorganized at all people in the company are just ill informed. If you don't get it within a week of the release then ide be worried.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 MultiView firmware - WHEN?
In Philadelphia. I told a buddy of mine the update was out the first day. He's across the bridge in Jersey. His first try using wifi worked. Has the update. (He has a Philly area code but lives in Jersey). I haven't been able to update yet.I had a similar experience with att customer sesay on hold for 2 boys andrvice. The Rep didn't know that the note 2 came with 4.1. I had to explain that to him.

I even attempted Samsung customer service for sh#ts and giggles. This rep informed me that 4.1.2 was only available for t mobile and another provider. ....lol. I requested a level 2 tech and was placed on hold. As I watched Tv last night I sat on hold for 2hrs 45mins....haha...

I tried rolling the clock....I got it up to 1045 hours to wait!!! Factory reset and the clock is back in order.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 MultiView firmware - WHEN?

Whoever is relying on an AT&T customer rep to know anything about an android 4.1.2 multi-view update for one specific Note 2 phone is going to be grosly disappointed. These are barely trained $10 per hour call center employees who probably get zero information on things such as this.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 MultiView firmware - WHEN?

Maybe this post below helps to answer the 'how does AT&T roll this out' question.

Also, if you are one of those who have to wait xxx days since trying to trick the ATT update app...I'd suggest going to the AT&T store or calling a store first to see if they can manually update it/fix the timer situation for you.

Anyway, this is a reply I had to someone who posted what they heard from AT&T (on AC Forums):

QuoteOriginally Posted by gzbsds

------------------------------------------------------------------

Right. This is what many of us figured long ago, when the complaints started to roll-in.

But, interesting that you found out that it was by serial number...as opposed to region/location or some other method. I guess that is one way to do it. I got my update the first time I tried on the first day.

Serial starts with R21CA5xxxxx

I just got the update for mywife's galaxy note 2. But I noticed that the premium suite is no longer installed. Anyone experienced this issue after the update? Thank you.
