Guys, whether or not we get the phones tomorrow, I think we just need to wait patiently. I am assuming we all are grown men and women here. All companies from all industries go through this. AT&T and Samsung have a shortage. Not only does Samsung have to fulfill AT&T's demand, they also have to fulfill Sprint's, T-Mobile's, Verizon's and US Cellular's demand as well. 

 

As far as customer service reps feeding you misleading information, it is not their fault. Think of yourself in their shoes. The upper management feeds them the information and they just do what they are told to do. Plus, I bet they are getting a billion calls a day from impatient customers like us about the Galaxy S3. Let's all just relax.

 

There is absolutely no point in complaining about it. Crying about it won't make the Samsung/AT&T/Fedex employees work faster. They are doing their best.

 

We will get our phones sooner or later. To those of you that have recieved confirmation, I am happy that at least some of us are satisfied.

Agreed....I think we are all just passionate nerds and are excited and can't wait to get our devices....I had already settled on the fact that I would have to wait until the 28th and then I got an email saying I would get it tomorrow......but to those of you still waiting hang in there as I am sure it will be worth the wait.

EaglesFan is right.  The CSR's are given the information from the manager's and that is all they have to go on.  I talked to 2 different core stores today, and one told me they were going to be delayed because of Apple's litigation against Samsung.  Had to let him know that wasn't an issue, but he had no idea.  Sucks to wait...

 

On that note, I have a shipping confirmation for mine to arrive tomorrow.

Okay Texsasswede. Since your a journalist I expect an article from you about this Galaxy S3 madness

Extremely disappointed in AT&T and especially Samsung for there lack of a proper release. They obviously tried to release this phone in to many countries way to fast resulting in a huge backorder delay cause they can't keep up with inventory. Hints why you have to stager your release, if you want this device to be an iPhone killer and take the throne from Apple then you'll need to learn a better launch system

I was ready to jump the boat from my iPhone 4S and move to the Galaxy S3 but I am not waiting till June 28th now because the device is supposedly backordered. I mean AT&T even gave me a killer deal my upgrade price was $99 for the device, I am just not waiting for a backordered item I've never waited for an iPhone Ive always been able to have it when I was promised. Poor service on AT&T and Samsung's behalf.

Bottom line: The Galaxy S3 is a nice step forward for Samsung, providing a number of fun, useful features for media consumption and sharing. The light plastic frame may be a deal breaker for some, but the larger screen is awesome and makes the iPhone display feel cramped, even outdated. But with key features seeming not yet ready for prime time, and pricing being about the same as the iPhone, Samsung isn’t likely to unseat the king just yet. This reviewer was spot on! 

Has anybody heard anything about best buy pre orders ?

honestly i think any device in white is ugly. idk why but it just is. also to me it dont make the device stand out. thats why i got the blue.

I noticed AT&T doesn't show the white or blue galaxy S3 being out of stock. But I recall when I was looking into buying the HTC ONE X. It did show it as being out of stock. If you look at all the phones they have in the shop, you see the once they labeled out of stock. So I don't get this BackOrdered crap

my white phone was shipped yesterday for delivery today. I ordered on the 7th from att premier

My white is shipped, due today at 3pm.  I ordered on the 12th.

I also placed my preorder through Premier. I also had the same problem. I just went to the AT&T website to check it there. This will be the last time I preorder my phone. I was told that I would recieved it today the 21st. I was also told that it started shipping on the 18th. But I have yet to recieve anything about mine shipping. I preordered on the 6th. I'm not a happy customer!

If it helps, my shipping stuff didnt come until this morning...and its being delivered today...

So, I have about 4 hours before I get this puppy in my hands!! My wife is obtaining my phone from her station this morning (she is a FedEx courier), so I should have in her in my hands by 11am!! 

 

She warned me if I asked her ANYTHING about the phone this morning (as in hey.. did you get my phone yet??), then I would not see her arrive safely (the phone).  So, unfortunately I can't comment on the current status of my S3.. I  asked her to demonstrate great care with the package.. so the whench is probably being quite abrasive to my new baby right now!!

Ordered a white on the morning of the 6th at 8 am via premier. No change in status online- still showing backordered and no charge on my CC. I'm so bummed out. That's what happens when I get excited, things go wrong.

She just sent me a text.. My awesome wife has the phone in her possession!!
