How do I save my email address, so you don't have to type it in every time?

If you use at&t address book, I think your contacts would be stored online.
If you are thinking about contacts being sent to your computer, like a file transfer, I don't have the answer. The phone's file system is quite unique. There seems to be no exporting of contacts.

On one of my phones, there's this menu item "send all contacts to PC/laptop via Bluetooth". Can you find something similar on your phone?

Nothing like that on a Z221. I tried "connect to bluetooth" but no luck I suspect it is only looking for a headset, etc. I connected via USB, and all it did was install drivers to use the phone as a modem.

If not, look into your phone's settings and look for the option to pre-save your e-mail if that option is available.

Alright. Does the phone give you a prompt to save the address so that you don't have to enter if every single time you want to use the e-mail application?

No, it didn't

I found the manufactures website, with support. There does seem to be an option to send via bluetooth, but you have to be connected to get to that option. So far, I haven't been able to connect. The phone is asling for a "passcode", but I told my computer not to require a passcode. I haven't found one for the phone anywhere???

I tried buying a USB cord, but after connecting the cord and downloading the drivers, it never showed up under "My Computer" to open any files!)
Here is what worked. I got it from:http://lifehacker.com/5506326/how-can-i-send-an-em
I ended up texting my pics to my email from my phone and it worked!!! Here is how I did it:
First, you have to enter yourself as a contact in your address book, then be sure to add your email address in there. Without your email address in your address book, it will not work.
Next, select the photo in your "My Pictures" folder (or take a new one), push "options" , then "send", select "via message". A text message window will open, select "contacts", find your name (your phone number will be scrolling underneath your name) and then scroll to the RIGHT until you see your email address, select "check", then "done" which returns you to the text message window, then scroll down, and click "send".
You can also send multiple pictures in one text by scrolling down to the "text" box and instead of typing a message, select "options", then "insert", "picture", and find the picture you want. Depending on the size of the files, I was able to send 2-5 pictures in one text. (For some reason, you have to add one picture at a time to the text. It lets you select multiple photos at once for other purposes, but it doesn`t work in this scenario.)
NOTE: this process would work to email them to you or others, just make sure their email address is entered into your address book BEFORE you start the process.
Hope it helps!

Yes, but what if your Z221 is not internet-enabled? I don't use internet on my telephone because the little window is too small for my tired old eyes.
What I'd like to do is simply plug the phone into my computer, just like I did with my Nokia, and use the usual copy functions built into Windows XP, It's worked on my Nokia for years. Unfortunately, the Nokia died, and now the replacement Z221 phone isn't recognized as a device by XP.

I just bought the Z221 and was told that there was software online to use for downloading files to and from the PC... I haven't found any and belive the ATT people lied to me... I used to own a Samsung-Solstice-II-a817 and it has a charger with a diconnectable USB cable. It was the same miniature size as the Z221. I connected it to my PC and it started charging the phone right away. Then it started a wizard to instal drivers. I installed it. Afterwards I could not see it or use it to communicate with the phone. When I plug it in and out it gives me the M/S tones that there is something plugged in, but I cannot see the actual USB device on my computer. I tried using the Samsung PC Studio S/W but it didn't recognize the Z221 ... Since the Z221 is Chinese I hope I don't have to go to some after market Chinese site to download some bootleg software.
I did an I-net search and came up with ... http://webtopicture.com/zte/zte-z221-software.html ... then it linked me to ... http://adf.ly/9zQjV
I don't trust these sites to I decided to not download the software. As far as I can tell there may be some outhere but I would be taking a risk with my PC and my phone...
