Need help on how to boost volume of homemade ringtones for SHINE?

Just figured out how to make ringtones from mp3's using Audacity...well, my husband actually did.

What my question is, does anyone know how to increase the volume when making them?

Thanks in advance!

diegozx14,

Just checked my ringtones my husband made for me and mine are only like 14...15 secs long also. I also just checked the ringtones I downloaded from ATT site, and most of them are only 15 secs long. So maybe that's only how long they CAN be?

All I can tell you about how much he amplifies it is..when you are looking at the graph, or whatever it is called, he keeps all the lines from the graph inside the top and bottom lines..as far as they will go without going out of the lines. ( I hope you know what I'm talking about here!)

He also ONLY uses a part clipped from the whole song...NOT the whole thing. So if there's any way to use the whole song as a ringtone, and you figure it out, let ME know.

If I can find out any more info from him tonight, I'll get back to you.

Hope this helps!
