Help Tilt II is CRAZY! Sluggish, locks up, etc

Lately my Tilt II has gone crazy.  It is constantly locking up on me.  It does it in emails, albums, internet.  From the Today screen if I click Phone at the bottom of the screen, it takes me to the dailpad no problem.  But once I am there and I start to dial a number it takes about 35-45 seconds for it to respond.  I can't even get off the screen for 35-45 seconds.  While flipping through an album it just locks up and does not respond to anything.  When set on vibrate it will vibrate for an incoming message for a long time, probably almost 10 seconds.  Long enough for me to pull it out of my pocket and try and get it to stop.  It rings sometimes, sometimes it doesn't.  The other day I noticed it light up and I could see the phone icon pop up at the top of the screen but nothing else.  It did not show an incoming call or anything.  Then I had a new voicemail.  Sometimes the phone will not make a sound like it is on silient, but it is not.  Nothing will come out of the speakers and the phone will not make a sound when dialing.

Please help has anyone else had this problem?  I got one of the very first Tilt II's back in early October.  The phone was great for a while.  Now it is the worst phone I have ever had by far.  I have not downloaded much to it as far as Apps go, just Skyfire, theChanner, Bing, You Tube, and Google Maps.  I use (well i try to use) it for work and push my work Outlook mail through it.  I also push my Aol mail through it.  I have not problems with those when the phone is working.

Maybe you've done something that's used up most of the available memory?  How much memory does it say is available?

Those numbers are ok.  I'm assuming you've rebooted and still have the problem.  You have no applications running in background that you are unaware of?  I'm kinda out of ideas... unless it is bad memory and I'm not sure how to test that on a phone.

I didn't think those memory setting were out of whack.  I do not have anything else running.  I have pulled the cover off and hit the reset button numerous times.  I am on hold with ATT right now.  I was thinking maybe someone on here would have had the same problem.  It sounds like they are going to warrenty the phone and send me a new one!!!

tell me about it.. mine does the same thing..   my tilt 1 was faster then this..

im constantly reseting my cell..

wish we could overclock this thing or have an update fix for this

its embarressing to us in front of anyone .. where its slower then anything else out there.

Well ATT said they could not send me a replacement without first doing a complete reset of the phone.  So I did that.  So far it is working better.  I am too busy at work to really play with it right now.  But they are going to call me back tomorrow morning to see how it is going.  They said that the phone is pretty much under warranty for the first year so give them a call about yours.
