My SonyEricsson w580i is on its deathbed, so it's time to look at upgrading. (Moment of silence. It served me well.)
I definitely want some kind of keyboard on my new phone, and I'm really liking the half keyboard on the Pearl. The thing is, I'm not spending $30 a month on a data plan. My question is, WHY was the 8120 discontinued, and is there ANY way to get it? Why would they "upgrade" to the 8110, and get rid of the wi-fi? I don't want GPS.
On that note, if there's no way to get the 8120, is the 8110 even worth it? It's also getting pretty old now, is a new one coming out soon? Or at least a new half-keyboard phone?
If I don't get a Blackberry, I think I would either get the Nokia e71x, Samsung Jack, LG Xenon, or just be cheap and get an LG Neon. I'd get the Neon immediately if it weren't for all the people who have complained about how bad it is. Would someone care to provide some insight? I'd say my phone will last another few months tops, is it worth waiting for something else to come out?

Don't know why the 8120 was discontinued, but from everything I know about the 8120, I would pass on that. The Nokia e71x is a good phone!
Thanks for the nod on the Nokia e71x, DREWSKY56! May I ask what kind of data plan you'd recommend for someone who would like to be able to access data on occasion, but not religiously? Basically, when I don't feel well enough to mess with the computer but can easily access the phone, I'd like to be able to keep up somewhat on certain web sites, including facebook. I definitely don't need an iPhone, but the Nokia e71x looks awesome! Thanks again!!
