I wanted to write these comments directly to AT&T but, alas, there was no category under contacting AT&T that fit. There should be.
I note that recently AT&T has taken away the customer reviews for its wireless devices on the AT&T Website. I think that was a big mistake. The reviews give the prospective customer (many of which are already AT&T customers, such as myself) helpful information from reliable sources (overall) about the products AT&T sells. Indeed users' comments are the most useful information of all. Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile provide them (as do most of the manufacturers). This deletion (a) makes it difficult to decide on what---or even whether---an AT&T device should be purchased and (b) spawns suspicion that AT&T has something to hide in the products it sells. In short, the question becomes: why buy from a company that provides no reviews from its customers when there are other companies that do provide this very useful information?
Not only are the 'good' and 'bad' review important overall but the reasons given are significant---some users may consider a weakness in a product inconsequential while others may consider it pivotal; the same goes for strengths of a product.
