If the Quickfire was purchased new and there is no physical or liquid damage, it will still be under the manufacures one year warranty and you will be able to get it replaced. All you mom has to do is call ATT and have them start the warranty process.
If it has physical or liquid damage it will not be covered. Also if it was purchased as a refurbished phone it will not be covered as those only have a 90 day warranty.
Question:
How do I perform a warranty exchange for my phone?
What is my warranty?
Answer:
If you've owned your phone between 31 and 365 days and you believe it is broken or damaged, you may be eligible for our Exchange by Mail program. Phones with physical or liquid damage are not covered under the warranty and are not eligible for a warranty exchange. To exchange a defective phone you can call 1-800-801-1101.
Eligibility:
- Refurbished devices purchased through an authorized AT&T dealer are covered for the first 90 days from the purchase date.
- Replacement devices received through an insurance claim are covered for the first 12 months from the replacement date.
- Replacement devices received through a warranty claim are covered for 90 days or the remainder of original warranty period (whichever is longer).
We'll then help you troubleshoot your problem to see if it can be self-corrected. If the problem persists and your phone is still under warranty, we'll send you a replacement phone. Once you provide your address and agree to the Terms and Conditions, we'll ship your replacement via FedEx® or UPS®.
When your replacement arrives, return your original phone in the packaging provided. We'll even preprint and prepay the return shipping label for you! (AT&T will charge for expedited shipping or phones that are not returned or arrive damaged.)
After your warranty exchange is processed for your replacement, an email will be sent to the account holder's email address on file. The email will contain a link to the IMEI/SIM site, where you can update your IMEI/SIM online. Other topics of interest: What is an IMEI number? What is a SIM card?
However, if your phone is no longer under warranty and you have Wireless Phone Insurance, you should contact Asurion 1-888-562-8662 to file a claim.
