AT&T is spamming me with "AT&T Free Message"

Does anyone know how to get rid of this CRAP? This is my 3rd smartphone and I never had this problem before. Does anyone else have this problem? The fine folks at AT&T customer service are useless.

I just got two in the last hour and they send me several texts every week. I'm so effing annoyed.

I believe some of those you can stop by replying with the word STOP. Also, wouldn't hurt to opt out from marketing communications here: http://www.wireless.att.com/privacy/customer-opt-out.jsp
