Hi. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I don't seem to have many options.
For the past few months I've been receiving someone else's AT&T wireless bill by email. I can see why this has happened - the customer's name is very similar to my own and we must have had similar ideas when creating our email address. I've just been ignoring them. But recently the guy seems to be incurring a lot of charges which he presumably doesn't know about, and I want to reunite him with his bills before they mount up (also I want to stop getting unwanted emails!)
But the ridiculously Byzantine customer support system means I can't get in touch with anyone to fix it.
I don't know the guy's actual email address to contact him directly. Sure, it must be similar to mine for this mistake to have occurred but that's not enough info.
I can't reply to the bills because apparently all replies are deleted.
I can't find an email address to contact at AT&T because I don't have an online account with them.
I can't sign up for an online account because I'm not an AT&T customer.
I can't contact live chat because I don't have a Wireless Account number of my own.
I found some phone numbers but I don't live in the US and, while I want to help this guy out, I'm not prepared to pay anything to do it. (And given how hard it is for me to find the info I want I don't imagine it would be a short phone call)
So I don't know what to do. Can anyone furnish me with an email address to write to?
Cheers

Thanks for taking the time to reply, but I really need to do this online. I can't phone anyone because I live in the UK (even free phone numbers in the US will be charged at international rates).

Hi richmcd!
One thing you can try to do is e-mail AT&T directly.
You can do so by going here: http://www.att.com/econtactus/#
From the options, select General Billing > Wireless phone
Hope that helps!

Hi there. Thanks for the reply, but I can't do that either! That link asks for a zip code, and since I live in the UK I don't have one.
Any other suggestions?

I guessed a zipcode at random but it was still no good. Clicking the link to get an email address just took me to where I'd been before: a signup for an online account which I can't complete because I'm not an AT&T customer!
Aargh! And I thought companies had stupid support systems here in the UK!

You can text the guy from your emai, send an email to XXXXXXXXXX@text.att.net (XXXXXXXXXX is his phone number) and they'll recieve a text. It's free and easy.
