Okay, I need to vent about this issue and it's still not resolved. Yesterday afternoon, my phone stopped registering it was plugged into the charger, hence it wouldn't charge. I have a palm pre plus. I used two different cords, tried to hook it to my computer and my car charger. Nothing. I chatted with a support rep last night, and none of the advice worked. I went to the store that I bought the phone at this afternoon. They tried to hook the phone up, and nothing worked for them either. They inspected my phone and told me that it was under warranty and the issue was internal, and it didn't appear to have any physical or water damage. I was given the number for the warranty department. When I got home, I called the warranty department, and the rep told me that my phone isn't under warranty, because I bought it refinished. I said I bought it new, and they said that's not what they're records said. I told them that I had the original box and that I had even received the mail in rebate I was given. So they don't listen, and they transferred me to the insurance claims department. The insurance claims department told me I couldn't file a claim, because the phone is still under warranty. AAAAAAAAAH! So now I'm back with the warranty department, and they told me I need proof that the phone was bought new (right). So I drive over the bridge, paying tolls again to go back to the store. I explained to the store what was happening, and they said that the phone was definitely new when I bought it, and printed a copy of the original receipt. They gave me their number and said to have the warranty department call the store if there was any other problems. So I go home again, call the warranty department again, ready to email or fax the receipt, when they tell me that they don't take receipts, and they don't call the stores. They told me I had to go back to the store for the third time today, and have the store reps notate the computer that my phone was new when I purchased it. Are you kidding me!? I did nothing wrong, pay my bill on time, and apparently I have to drive in circles instead of someone actually helping me, when none of this is my fault. If the number in my phone was marked refinished by accident, my receipt should prove it. Or if AT&T sold me a phone and it was refinished without telling me or stating it on my receipt, that's called fraud! So now I'm stuck with my broken phone and have to jump through hoops to get it fixed. This is the first time that I've had a real problem with any phone, and I'm getting the run around, and I'm really frustrated with the time and travel this taking me to get it resolved. Oh, and who doesn't take a receipt!!??
