We recently switched our AT&T service to u-verse. It was not explained to us that the land line voice mail would be switched to a completely different system. As a result, we lost all data on the old voice mail system, including the message greeting, which was recorded by my deceased daughter. After spending 2 days on the phone with service representatives, crying and explaining why this message is so important to me, I have been informed that sorry, there is nothing they can do about it; it's gone. I know my circumstances are unusual, but just in case someone has a valuable personal message on their old voice mail, please be aware of this.

I am so sorry this happened. I teared up while reading this, I can't imagine how you feel. *hugs*
This is very good feedback and I agree, you should have been told. I will pass your feedback on to the proper folks.
