Has anyone had good experience with filing Mobile insurance claim? I am without a device December 18, 2012. All I have heard so far is AT&T saying " we just bill on bahlf of Asurion, the Insurance Adminstrator. Asurion is inefficient and makes pseudo accusations, eventhough I have sisfiedat all the requirements of claiming the insurance replacement.
Even though I do not have device, AT&T keeps billing my line. On contacting AT&T, I was told ": I understand how important it is for you to understand the bill. As consumers we all want to get the best value out of what we are paying. I want to ensure all charges are accurate and you have a full understanding of your bill. I can see here that you have monthly plans and features that is why you will still be charged for what you have with the line with or without using the device or the line."

i filed a claim with Asurion about 2 years ago, and it was quite easy. What issues are you having with the claim?
Of course AT&T is still charging you, you signed up for a monthly service charge and it will continue unless you cancel it. Perhaps you can borrow a phone from a friend/family member or purchase an inexpensive GoPhone so you can use the service until you get your insurance replacement.

I wish I could write similar feedback here. Perhaps you being an AT&T employee helped you get a "perfect" replacement. AT&T's Insurance Administrator sent two replacements over a span of 3 days; the battery of the first replacement device was super bad. Thus, they sent the second one. The writing on the replacement devices' package said "certified refurbished equipment" and carried AT&T's logo. However, the second device had some sort of a block, which was triggered by the device being some sort of a block list. The block was put on the device several months ago, as it was lost in transit or something of that order.
Long story short, AT&T says it just bills on Insurance Administrator's behalf and all concerns should be addressed by the Insurance Administrator. However, Asurion the Insurance Administrator says that AT&T's Fulfillment Center ships all replacements, once the documentation is approved by Asurion. Thus, I should contact AT&T!
It's been disheartening to spend the Christmas holidays without a cell phone. As of today, it's been 45 days since I satisfied the claim requirements. I am yet to get a justifiable argument from AT&T or Asurion.
Highly disappointed. Please think twice before enrolling in Mobile Insurance program. In my personal opinion, it's not worth it.

Asurion is definately not worth it, check into home owners insurance coverage. The CSR's are correct, ATT, Sprint, Verizon are just the billing entitiries for Asurion. Asurion is a independant 3rd party fully vetted insurance company, the carriers have no control over what they do, don;t do in the way of claims Asurion handles the claims from start to finish
