Got new line 3 weeks ago and now account is cancelled. . Please Help!!

I have got new contract with at&t more then 3 weeks back and now my account is closed due to fraud activity. They says they cant help me. I dont understand what to do.. Please help.

More info is needed here as to what lead up to your account being closed. Also, calling customer care at 1-800-331-0500 will probably get you the answer to this a little quicker as AT&T CS will be able to access that account and be able to tell you exactly what the issue is....

I was using verizone earlier and was secondary on att wireless plan for more then 2 yrs. I have got new primary wireless 2 year contract with att 25 days agofrom walmart. At the time of getting wireless service att rep made a mistake and issued diff no other then what i had earlier. They cancelled that line return the devise and gave me new line and new contract with the same phone. that impacted huge on my credit history. I did provided my license and they got correct billing address on it. i was seeing 2 lines on my account. I callled them up and asked to remove another line and they told me that it will be removed from next billing cycle. Everything was working fine since last friday when my account was cancelled because they have the wrong billing address on online account. I am not aware of that billing address and i did not provided them that address. I have no clue how they got the wrong address. I have been on the phone since 3 days with att reps and fraud dep but they are unable to help. they are behaving vary badly. They were asking me to fax bunch of docs. I did that on my busy schedule of working abroad, not attending the precious business meetings. After sending all the documents they now want me to go to the store from where I purchased this phone. I am on the business trip and cant go right away. I have the contract documents that i got from walmart and it shows the correct billing address on it. I am on tremendous stress because of this issue.
I am preety sure this mistake was made by att rep or walmart might have send the wrong billing address. I will never rely on att and I will never recomend any one to rely on it either if my issue will not get resolved. I appreciate if someone can come forward and willing to help.

had something similar happen...my account was hijacked on 20 JAN 2013....and 5 new lines added....stroke of luck that I caught the actuivity the day it started.....
Took me 5 hours in the store showing my phones, sim cards multiple identification docs.....ultimately it came down to billing....I told them either the account would be in my name before I left or I wanted the account COMPLETELY CLOSED prior to me leaving the store....they probably changed your email first....for me
they ran a credit check at an apple store, then changed my billing address, then my passcode, then my last name then my first......
Fraud did a good job once the account was in my name but the story is a lot more involved.....go check my fraud post...
bottomline if you are the billing responsibility (IE your account)...but not the primary account holder.....simply go to the bank and block any activity to pay ATT...tell them it isn't your account anymore....
if you are not the primary they CAN NOT affect your credit if you don't pay.....you can just go get an account and new phone elsewhere and sell the old one....heck you are not responsible for the account and ATT has told you so!

Now I got an email from ATT asking to pay the bills. I dont want to get pulled in anyother issue so I logged in to pay the bill.
Now the amount I see is Zero and that is the reason why I cant pay the bill. I dont understand what to do in this situation ?
Will ATT make me suffer all my life !!
Please help
