I need the physical and email address of the complaint department. I was told by customer service for the 50th time that they refuse to do anything about my complete lack of signal in (and around) my home as well as my workplace despite the coverage map showing "excellent coverage" in my location. They won't release me for the contract despite validating through a technician's visit that the signal is terrible here and there's nothing they're going to do.
That combined with a refusal to waive my early termination fee (because it's "on the equipment" THAT I CANNOT USE), and the horrendous service I've received from customer service reps, particularly Mr. Eric {personal content removed for safety}, I need to file an official complaint that will go via certified mail and a cc: to my attorney.
Please provide.

I understand the contract issues, that's not my complaint. I didn't live in this location at the time I signed up for the contract, I went off their map that I would be in an "Excellent Coverage" area. They still claim such, despite validating via a technician that there is a signal problem in my area AND that they will do nothing about it.
I am not obligated to remain in a contract they breach when they do not show a good faith effort to provide service they claim to have in my area. State statutes win out over AT&T contracts. A good faith effort is required, and they have done nothing but treat me abysmally for the last 4 months I've had this issue. So I will be contacting the BBB, the FCC and my state attorney general's office. But I need the AT&T addresses. If they refuse to provide, I will simply email their C-suite and write to their Corporate headquarters. Those, amazingly, are easier to find than a customer service/compalint address.

And for the record, I've been an AT&T customer quite happily for the last 6 years. In Maryland and in North Carolina, I received good service most of the time (except the dropped calls AT&T is famous for)...here in Indiana, however, despite claiming excellent signal, I get nothing. And their customer service is non-existent.

Sir, since you are an employee, please provide me with your full name via PM. I would like to include such in my letter.
It is treatment like yours that breaches the "in good faith" portion of contracts. AT&T didn't force me to move, no, but they did falsely advertise that my area of residence is an "excellent service" coverage area. They lied and they've not acted in good faith to rectify the issue, therefore they are in breach of contract. I know you're a customer service rep and don't understand contract law, but I do. So please provide.

No problem, I can use your screen name and I've no doubt that AT&T can track you down. I won't get into an argument over contract law with someone who doesn't even understand the most basic principles, so again: please provide me with an email address and a physical address for the complaints department. The one in my bill is only a physical and it is for "notes/letters", not formal complaints. I will use it as well as the Corporate headquarters if none is provided, but I need an email address as well.
[Please keep it courteous]

Issue has been resolved without any help from employees manning this forum.
For the record: one can get out of their early termination fee for a lack of service. I did so today. The FCC, BBB, and state attorney's general office have still been notified for the terrible customer service, but I walked away without paying a dime.
I now have a Verizon cell phone and 5 bars of service in the same place last night I had 1.

Glad it is resolved. As an FYI, we are all customers here like yourself. Those who are ATT employees are here on their own and do not represent an official ATT response hence the tag line in their signatures. I personally have never been an ATT employee just a long-time user.

Question is what are you going to do about it?
1. Switch, don't be a chicken. I'm waiting for my contract end.
2. Representative, Senator, Governor, FCC, BBB.. It takes a total of 30 min. Once a month!!
3. Contribute to websites that talk and blog about this.
4. Tell friends, family, coworkers, strangers...
We don't have the money for law professionals to interpret the contract the way we want like AT&T is doing? But in numbers and repetition, we have power.
Call customer service. They would love to hear from you!
