AT&T SUCKS!!!

I am so disappointed I want to change service. I saw a commercial that said AT&T was the worse in customer satisifaction and didn't know that it was the truth until today. I am going to shout it from roof tops tweet it and fb it AT&T SUCKS AND IS SUCH DISAPPOINTMENT!!

I am sorry you feel that way.
Great link, aristizzle, I did not know that. I was always used to reading biased reports of cell phone ranking carriers from Consumer Reports. Even though that is my favorite magazine, those test are just not necessarily true sometimes...

those consumer reporst are completely biased, I think its hilarious when people bring them up trying to call them facts.
BBB has been conducting this research for years, and if anyone thinks the BBB reports are biased thats just silly
AT&T obviously is doing something right to be ranked #2 least complaints on the BBB.

Everyone seems to be missing the bottom half of that article that states "Interestingly, carriers’ BBB complaint ratios don’t appear to correlate closely with the perceived quality of customer service they provide. According to a recent poll by J.D. Power and Associates, Verizon Wireless has the best customer service in the country, having scored 770 out of a possible 1,000 points. T-Mobile was second with a score of 766, Sprint was third with 752 and AT&T was scored the worst among major U.S. carriers with 751 points."
So basically it is just that most customers with ATT just leave and do not report to the BBB. It is quite a hassle to do so.

About that grading criteria, you said att was scored the worst among major us carriers with 751/1k points. That's just for customer service. What about complaints regarding billing issues, network issues, device issues, contracts, etc? That's what the BBB addresses everything regarding complaints about each column of service, so not only customer service but much more. Define customer service with JD Powers.

as a customer, I went to Att and Verizon on the same day and Att's employees was lack of professional training , Verizon wireless sales rep was much better than the ATT sales rep. I am a customer on both company, today I call ATT sales rep and on the phone almost 50 min to transfer a number from the other carrier to ATT and noone can give me number to file a complaint too, I feel very upset with ATT......

at&t could be the worst carrier overall but if they worked in my area just fine i'd be with them and would not care about issues in areas i don't live or plan to visit.

So between the 3 independent consumer polls that have been posted recently we should be able at this point to reasonably accept that AT&T has the worst customer service. However from other stats we know that AT&T customers are less likely to leave, and less likely to file complaints.
So basically AT&T customers are just more likely to knowingly pay for and accept an inferior product/service. Kind of like people who eat at Arby's.

I always think it's hilarious when people criticize other people for their bias and then blatanly show their own.

The numbers are the numbers, but your interpretation of them shows your bias. The only thing the "facts" show in this case are that AT&T has less complaints with the BBB. You can have a theory about why they have less complaints but AT&T "doing something right" isn't necessarily the reason, and therefore isn't a "fact".

I live in Denver, CO, and I am going to open a savings account to save the up the money to buy out my contract. I ended up dropping about 8 phone calls to my parents today on Thanksgiving, and then drove to eat Thanksgiving in Lakewood, where I couldn't get cell service for 3 hours. Words would never be able to express how mad I was. This city has 4 million people in it. There is no excuse.
Me and AT&T are no longer on good terms.

AT&T DOES NOT SUCK!!!!!! SPRINT SUCKS!!!!!! Every carrier will have their weak areas where service lags but in an area with good coverage AT&T blows Verizon and Sprint right out of the water. T-Mobile on the other hand is the only carrier that can compete with against their HSPA+ but not their LTE. I love AT&T!!!

AT&T wireless service is amazing compared to sprint. I would know, because I cancelled with AT&T to got to Sprint. Now I am back. SPrint says they have true 3g,4g speed. it is all a lie. However, AT&T customer service does suck compared to other wirless companies. I made a mistake once, and they tranfered me to 8 different people. I had to wait 3 hours to just hear "sorry, should have read the user agreement". AT&T doesnt aknowledge me being human and making mistake. My bother has verizon and he made the same mistake with terhting by accident. verizon gave him back his unlimited plan with no problem and educated him to make sure he wont do it again. that there is true customer service.

You don't have to save up the money to buy out of your contract, all you have to do is to sell your cell phone, which is the reason you are in contract, and use that money to pay the ETF. You won't need it anyway.
