Seems like the forum is a training ground or simply a way for them to express a personal opinion. This requirement should have occurred a long time ago. I'm glad at least some are conforming to the requirement. I have often been accused of working for AT&T...suffice it to say, I DO NOT ![]()

How do you set your sig manually ?

You do have one. ![]()
You probably just need to turn on your "view signatures" option in your profile settings.

Go to My Profile > Preferences and check the box next to "View signatures in messages"

Yes at one point, we were telling reps not to identify themselves as such, because at that time, that was the policy in place. As the announcement states posted on February 9, 2010 regarding this, the policy was changed and employees are now required to identify themselves and will be tagged with a disclaimer signature. After all of your time with us here on the forums, we would hate to see you leave, but understand if you choose to do so.

Only thing with this is I get a message saying they feel I MAY be a employee.. At what point do they decide they are certain you are?! Cause all I've done really is anwser questions off personal expereince and simple research that can easily be found in AT*Ts search engine. Plsnet-Ed should know what I'm talking bout he copies and paste that stuff 24/7 lol

When you entered your cell # when you registered is how they probably know that you are/were a employee my best guess maybe a mod will chime in with a exact answer if they don't it's pure speculation.

I don;t even remeber doing that although that was a year ago and if its something like this, I normaly put a dummy number in cause I feel as though they don't need my cell number for any reason or any personal info such as name and such so all my profile is completely incorrect about me and who I am, so it can't be that it must be off assuming i supose

Well I guess you would have to figure out a way to prove that you are not a employee you would need to PM mod.moose or 1 of the other mods for a exact answer.

Most likely they seen a IP addy that is registered and or associated to ATTM thus that makes you either a employee or an affiliate to ATTM; thus you have to play by their rules.

Are you saying you are not an employee of or affiliated with AT&T?
Here is the announcement regarding the recent requirement for employees/affiliates to disclose their status:

This is the 2nd person I've seen flagged as a employee who says they are not I wonder if there is a dispute process for that.

Any time we tag someone with the employee disclaimer, we have validated that they are indeed an employee or associated with one of our affiliates. We never assume that someone may or may not be an employee. We have several methods, internally and externally to validate employment down to employee specific information.
Are you stating that you are not an employee and we have tagged you incorrectly?

I would think that knowing you have the employee tag on your comments, you would be wise to NOT make comments or posts that question AT&T policy or bash practices. To those who operate under a Labor Agreement, take this as advice from a Chief Steward....for those who aren't.......well, I still offer this advice. I have seen several topics and threads where this has and is being done. If the folks doing it aren't working here anymore, those that are will be coming up for review soon, for sure. If your Facebook posts are being monitored, and they are, THIS should be the last place to act a fool.
/just good advice
