I have decided that I want to terminate my service with AT&T due to financial reasons but I am a little confused as to how much I would be paying to terminate my service. I have been with AT&T since 12/2008. I signed a new 2yr contract with them in 12/2010 and got a new phone. I have NEVER gotten a smartphone from AT&T or a data plan. So I have a basic phone plan with just text/call (no data).
I'm thinking my fee will be the 150$ option.
What I'm stuck on is how the service commitment thing works. I've counted that I've been with AT&T for 44 months. Will the minus 4$ count for the 44 months or just the months in my current contract? If so, I have 19 months into my current contract. If anyone can clear this up for me, that'd be great!

current contract
150.00 - (4.00 * number of completed months) = etf
so if you have 19 billing cycles complete your buyout would be
150.00 - (4.00 * 19 = 76.00) = 74.00 + your last bill (not pro-rated)
