I picked up the AT&T Unite (AC770S) Mobile Hotspot yesterday (Thursday 2013 May 23) as a possible replacement for my satellite internet. So far, I'm mostly pleased and will probably keep it. This is my only AT&T device though I may consider switching my cellphone to AT&T in the future as well.
During this "trial period," I've been running speed tests and downloading large files that my satellite internet was choking on. This morning I decided I will continue testing beyond 3 days and intend to have a final decision within 14 days.
My current data usage is 55% (used 2.24 GB of 5 GB). There are 3 days left in the billing cycle according to the device and myAT&T account management.
Will my data usage actually reset in only three more days?

Yes, your data pool and billing cycle will reset in the 3 days from when you posted. At the current rate if you're using taht much data, you're going to need more than 5GB a month.

Thank you for the reply, ranron.
I was not expecting a whole 5GB to be available for the 3 day trial period, and a new 5GB to be available right after. Its good for me obviously because I've been intentionally running it pretty hard to test it.
The only plan I see available for the AT&T Unite (AC770s) is the DataConnect 5GB for $50/month, plus $10 per GB over that.

If you brought over a cell phone from another carrier, you could always start a mobile share (if the cell phone is a smart phone) and add the unite on to it, they would use the same data bucket and the phone would get unlimited voice/text.
