So, recently I got a text saying I was charged for subscribing to where.com's app. I don't remember ever openging any where-app and ever agreeing on a subscription. I went online and tried to cancel but everytime I click on the app name I get :
We are experiencing a failure. Please try your request again shortly.
Error 500.
I tried for a couple of hours and nothing changed. Do i have to call ATT and talk to a rep or should i wait till tomorrow?

call in, talk to them about reversing the charges then request a free purchase block on the number.
looked at their website - my ironport caught a attempt to use location services when I went to their site. Looks like if you use them once they can start charging you because you agree to their terms when you utilize the web site, or social networking services that they provide

Hi I am experiencing a similar problem. However, mine is compunded by the fact that I have a GoPhone and when I call up at the numbers given, I amt directed to an automated voice which gives me no options for cancelling such subscriptions. I have never used ATT navigator or OZ email services and am being billed for them. What now?

How do I view and manage my AT&T Mobile Purchases?
To view mobile purchases, cancel a subscription, or submit a mobile purchase dispute, please visit Manage My Mobile Purchases.
Primary account holders can limit or block AT&T Mobile Purchases on their accounts.
- AT&T offers Purchase Blocker free of charge. It allows you to block mobile purchases on your account. To activate, use AT&T Wireless Support Chat.
These two blocking options only apply for mobile purchases placed on your AT&T bill and do not restrict content purchased using credit cards from storefronts such as iTunes and Google Play.

I don't even have this app on my phone and i am getting charged for it! I had it on my old phone and never used it, and just assumed that it would cancel since the darn thing isn't even available on my phone. I too have had issues trying to cancel it so I guess I'll need to call them. Nice to finally get a text message telling me i'm still being charged for it since i had no clue since January. YAY ME!! I get a paperless bill and i should have looked at it a little closer i know this...so don't flame me.

basicly things don't cancel themselves, call customer service and talk to them

Well...I am facing this problem again.This time its email free trail. I haven't subscribed to it and it deducts about $5 every month from my balance. Every time I try to cancel the subscription online, it tells me " We are experiencing a failure. Please try your request again shortly.
Error 500."
When I call up customer care, they say they do not cater to GoPhone! Please tell me what to do..I cannot stand being pinched off my money uselessly and so blatantly!
PS: the app is OZ mobile email service.

that is a 3rd party app, call att support, talk to them and they sometimes can remove the charges, while you are at it place a purchase block on the number to prevent auto-subscriptions

I called up att support...upon learning taht I am a gophone user..they kep redirecting me from one place to another..it doesnt help.

I would recommend that you send a Private Message to
ATTCustomerCare is part of the AT&T customer service team, They may be able to resolve your Issue. You can expect a reply via return PM between the hours of 7am-10pm CST.

Click on the blue ATTCustomerCare in the reply, it will open another window then look for Send this user a Private message on the right side of teh screen

Thanks...I'll try that too! Actually I did try calling 611 last time...and again being a Gophone user..I was directed at a thousand other palces till I lost my patience and cut it off. I guess I'll try it again.

Unfortunately you are right it is borderline, but most of these types of companies that supply documentation showing that someone on the accout agreed to the terms of service - downloading a "free" ringtone, wallpaper, mp3 or taking a "intelligence" or some other quiz on facebook. They sometimes tell you have to refuse in the wall of text that is sent what you have to reply to stop, some even word it that if you don;t respond you are accepting the terms.
Best solution - call att and put a purchase block on the numbers, this will prevent any unauthorized charges to the number, it is free
